OnePlus 13T: 6.3-inch compact phone tipped to deliver 120fps gaming with chip-level technology (2025)

OnePlus is gearing up for the launch of its new phone, the OnePlus 13T. The main highlight of the OnePlus 13T will be its compact form factor. Unlike the standard OnePlus 13 that has a 6.82-inch display, the OnePlus 13T is expected to feature a smaller 6.3-inch panel. The company is yet to reveal full specifications of the phone.

The OnePlus 13T is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. It is a flagship processor that has powered many recently launched phones, such as the Xiaomi 15 Ultra and Oppo Find X8 Ultra. A new leak from Digital Chat Station reveals that the upcoming phone may also feature Fengchi gaming kernel, allowing the device to run games at 120fps for a smoother experience.

The Fengchi gaming kernel was first introduced with the OnePlus Ace 5 series. It is a chip-level gaming technology developed by Oppo. It aims to offer improved gaming performance by optimizing the CPU and GPU. The Fengchi gaming kernel helps by reducing CPU load for extended gaming sessions without overheating. According to OnePlus, it optimizes the distribution of computing resources, which also leads to improved battery efficiency.

Additionally, the OnePlus 13T is confirmed to feature a large battery of over 6,000mAh. However, a few leaks have also suggested some downgrades from the standard OnePlus 13. The OnePlus 13T is expected to have a dual rear camera setup and an inferior optical in-display fingerprint scanner. Take this information with a pinch of salt as it is not confirmed by the company yet. The phone is expected to be launched later this month in China.
