Some of the couples called it quits before the end of the experiment, with Rozz coming to the conclusion that she couldn't see a future with Thomas. And in a first look of the reunion special, the pair have a heated argument as he accuses her of "ignoring" him.
It's safe to say they're not back together, but they're not the only ones.
At the end of season 8, three couples emerged from the show in their "marriages" and Shona and Matt revealed that they're in a relationship, after previously being married to different people on the show.

But are any of them still together now?
Read on for everything we know about the Married at First Sight UK couples from season 1 stars Emma and James, to season 8 stars Tasha and Paul.
Married at First Sight season 8 couples
Shona and Matt - Still together
They weren't originally put together on the show, but following season 8, Shona, who was matched with Brad, and Matt, who was in a marriage with Adrienne, revealed that they were now a couple.
Speaking to OK! Magazine at the time, Shona revealed that the relationship is "really healthy, happy, safe, [and] fun".
She said: "I really appreciate Matt so much, it's what I deserve, we deserve each other. I'm proud to be his girlfriend and it just works."
Three months later, and they're still very much a thing. The pair share lots of loved up snaps on Instagram and celebrated Shona's birthday together on 12th February.
Laura and Arthur - Split
Laura and Arthur were one of the first couples to get married on the 2023 season, but sadly it wasn't meant to be as Chelsea girl Laura decided to end things at the vow renewal.
The pair had got on well, but Laura's friends weren't keen on Arthur after he admitted to getting his vows off the internet, and some of the other cast felt as though Laura had changed, while others felt she was "talking down" to Arthur.
Erica and Jordan - Still together
Erica and Jordan got on like a house on fire from the moment they met and, despite a few disagreements due to issues with communication, they decided to stay together at the vow renewal, with Jordan agreeing to move to Glasgow to be with his bride.
Despite a teaser for the reunion special showing the pair arguing, Erica and Jordan are still together.
Since appearing on the show, they've been sharing loved up photos on their respective Instagram accounts. Erica recently supported Jordan at a boxing match and the pair celebrated Valentine's Day 2024 in London at a romantic hotel.
Peggy and Georges - Split
Peggy and Georges are no longer together. The pair announced their split on Valentine's Day 2024, with Peggy writing: "I'm so sorry I've been quiet on socials everybody but there's a reason for my silence. Me and Georges are no longer together and I'm absolutely heartbroken.
"It's affected my mental health and it's taken me weeks to come to terms with it but with it being Valentine's Day, I can't pretend to be OK. Thank you to everyone who has supported us and our journey... Nobody is more upset about it than me x."
Georges then added: "Wasn’t expecting a statement from Peggy regarding this situation.I’m heart broken by our breakup and also trying to come to terms with life without Peggy. I appreciate a lot of you have questions but I won’t be talking about this situation as of yet. Also thank you for the messages of support."
The reunion special was filmed months ago, so the pair will have been together for the one-off episode.
During their time on the show, the couple had their fair share of issues, from her being annoyed that he wouldn't mind her posting adult content online, to her discovering his online gaming career which involved squatting for 'baguettes'.
During one of the commitment ceremonies, Peggy decided to quit her marriage to Georges. However, as he chose to stay, they remained in the experiment and managed to make it all the way to the final vows where they decided to remain in their marriage.
Tasha and Paul - Still together
Tasha and Paul are still together and it looks like the pair could be about to make their marriage official. In a trailer for the reunion special, Paul could be seen about to make a proposal to Tasha with many fans thinking that he will ask her to be his wife for real (as the marriages on the show aren't legally binding).
Since leaving the show, these two have been inseparable. They regularly share loved up snaps and videos on their respective social media accounts and Tasha supported Paul at a boxing match in February 2024, which he won.
The couple also share lots of funny videos on TikTok where they talk about their African and Caribbean cultures.
Adrienne and Matt - Split
While Adrienne and Matt are yet to complete their final vows, judging by recent episodes and some new reports, it doesn't look like these two managed to make it after the show.
According to reports by The Sun, Matt is now dating Shona, which would confirm his and Adrienne's break-up.
Ella and JJ - Split
Ella and JJ are yet to make their final vows, so we won't know until then whether they managed to last. The couple have had their fare share of issues on the show. Recently, Ella questioned her future with JJ as she talked about children while he felt it was too soon to be discussing these things when they weren't in the best place.
During a commitment ceremony, JJ revealed that Ella had looked up his ex on Instagram, got drunk and made some hurtful comments.
Despite making it to the final vows, it wasn't meant to be for JJ and Ella. The pair decided to stay friends instead.
A day before the reunion special on Sunday 25th February, JJ, 31, confirmed that he's in a relationship with Katie Price, 45.
Sharing a photo on his Instagram of Katie kissing his head as he lay on her lap, he wrote: "Sometimes [it's] when you least expect it."
Katie also shared a photo of the couple on her Instagram with the caption: "They say things happen for a reason, the unexpected happened . Fate . Ticks every box . @johnjoeslater you have proved to me you are a real gentleman and completely [accept] me for me."
It's not yet known whether Ella is currently dating, but according to The Sun, she wasn't best pleased about JJ and Katie's relationship, having previously established a friendship with Katie herself.
Bianca and JJ - Split
Bianca and JJ were originally matched by the experts – however, JJ struggled to get past her not being his type and it was later revealed that he'd been secretly texting Ella. Bianca eventually left the show, as JJ re-entered the experiment with Ella.
Ella and Nathanial - Split
Probably the most dramatic couple of the season, Ella and Nathanial seemed to get on fantastically on their wedding day, only for things to come crashing down by the honeymoon. Nathanial exposed Ella's past work, and from here on out, things were just up and down. They never seemed to get out of the friend zone, as Nathanial insisted he needed a "deeper" connection.
Ella then started flirting with new groom JJ, and Nathanial exposed their secret connection at a dinner party, before quitting the experiment. For more on Ella and Nathanial, see here.
Porscha and Terence - Split
Porscha and Terence were the first couple to leave the show.
Their honeymoon didn't go down well because of a spoon – no, really. You can read more here.
Terence then decided to leave at the commitment ceremony, but Porscha wanted to stay. They continued in the competition for a few weeks, but after Porscha took part in a game of spin the bottle and kissed four grooms, Terence was out.
Mark and Sean - Split
Mark and Sean appeared to get on well after their wedding day, but things took a turn during a couples away day when Sean admitted that he couldn't have his head turned as there was no one else in the line-up who is available.
These comments didn't sit well with Mark and from here on, things just got worse, with Sean calling it quits at a dinner party.
Brad and Shona - Split
Brad and Shona got on probably a little too well in the beginning.
The couple were eventually removed from the experiment as the experts felt that it was no longer working for them. Despite deciding to give things a go outside of the show, it didn't work for them.
Brad is now in a new relationship and Shona is said to be dating Matt.
Rozz and Thomas - Split
Despite coming a very long way, it just wasn't meant to be for Rozz and Thomas, unfortunately.
Following their home stays, Rozz came to the decision that Thomas wasn't a top priority for her and she couldn't see herself having children with him, leading her to end the marriage.
Nevertheless, it seems the couple are still really good friends.
Jay and Luke - Still together
It was love at first sight for Jay and Luke when they met on their wedding day, and things continued to go from strength-to-strength for the couple.
However, Luke started to question whether his wife was a pushover and after commenting that he could get a girl's number and get away with it, things turned sour between Jay and Luke.
Luke was later removed after "coming to blows" with Jordan. This subsequently put an end to his and Jay's time on the show.
Nevertheless, the couple still appear to be together, sharing that they enjoyed a holiday days after leaving the show.
Married at First Sight season 7 couples
Chanita and Jordan - Split
Despite making it all the way to the end of the experiment, surprisingly Jordan and Chanita decided to go their separate ways at the final vows, shocking fans of the show and their fellow contestants.
The pair returning for the Christmas special in 2022, but did not reconcile.
Whitney and Duka - Split
Things didn't start off well for Whitney and Duka, with Whit struggling to get to grips with his personality. She accused him of being "fake" and hiding his true feelings. The pair tried to work on things, but eventually split when Whitney's feelings for fellow groom Matt became stronger.
Whitney and Matt were invited back into the experiment as a couple, but have since gone their separate ways.
Thomas and Adrian - Split
Although they managed to form a pretty strong friendship, it just wasn't meant to be for Thomas and Adrian. The pair decided to leave the show ahead of the final vows.
While the former couple weren't on speaking terms when they left the experiment, Adrian and Thomas are now friends and celebrated what would've been their one year anniversary on Instagram.
April and George - Split
They managed to make it all the way to the reunion together, but unfortunately April and George have now split.
During a chat with presenter AJ Odudu on Unveiled, April confirmed their split. When about her relationship status and whether she was still with George, April replied: "No. sadly not."
Jess and Pjay - Split
It was curtains for Pjay and Jess pretty early into the experiment. Dental hygienist Jess couldn't get past Pjay's career as an exotic dancer, and eventually decided to leave the show.
Lara and Richie - Split
Lara and Richie were another couple to bow out of the experiment early, following numerous disagreements.
The pair haven't rekindled their relationship since filming.
Kasia and Kwame - Split
Kasia decided to call time on her and Kwame's marriage after the home visits. While Kasia invited Kwame into her home, he wasn't ready to take this step in their relationship and instead invited her to his local park where they had a conversation on a bench.
As if that wasn't enough, Kwame then joked as Kasia opened up to him about her past and falling pregnant at the age of 15 - something she didn't take lightly.
Zoe and Jenna - Still together
Zoe and Jenna were the only couple to survive the 2022 season and manage to make it all the way to the reunion, where they seemed pretty loved up.
The couple are still together in 2023 and often post heartwarming tributes to each other on their Instagram pages, often sharing how much they love one another to their fans.
Matt and Whitney - Split
Despite not originally being matched on the show, Matt and Whitney were invited back into the experiment and given the chance to form a closer relationship.
Unfortunately, however, they're no longer together. According to the couple, geographical distance between them drove them apart as they live three hours away from each other.
Gemma and Matt - Split
It was probably one of the biggest scandals of this year, as it emerged that Matt had cheated on Gemma with Whitney.
Following an explosive row at the couples' retreat, Gemma left the experiment and Matt went on to explore his relationship with Whitney. Although, that didn't last much longer.
Sophie and Jonathan - Split
Jonathan raised eyebrows on the show for his views about women, but the couple managed to see it through and stayed together at the end of the show. They decided to go their separate ways after filming and admitted at the reunion they had not seen each other since the show ended.
Married at First Sight season 6 couples
Nikita and Ant - Split
Nikita and Ant were one of the first couples to tie the knot on season six, but things didn't end well. Despite a lack of attraction on Nikita's side, the pair appeared to put things behind them and got on with their honeymoon. However, Nikita got very angry at the first dinner party, as she argued with Jordon. It was then revealed that Married at First Sight UK star Nikita had been removed from show for "unacceptable aggression" off camera, putting an end to hers and Ant's time on the show.
Ant re-entered the process with Alexis, but that didn't work out either.
Following their split, Nikita took part in Celebs Go Dating, however, both appear to still be single.
Megan and Bob - Split
Despite Megan admitting she wasn't attracted to Bob, Megan and Bob stuck at the experiment for some time, before ending their marriage ahead of the home stays. Their relationship had been rocked by Megan's affair with Jordon – who she shared a kiss with after the first dinner – and the pair eventually decided to call it quits.
Morag and Luke - Split
Sparks didn't fly when Morag and Luke met on their wedding day, and on their honeymoon, Morag didn't hold back, as she told Luke he wasn't her usual type and she didn't like his clothes. He decided to upgrade his wardrobe and after Morag bought him a fireman costume and they opened a bottle of bubbly.
Things seemed good between them – that is until, Luke dropped the L-bomb and Morag didn't feel the same. And during the girls' day out, Morag admitted she didn't know how she'd react if her usual type slid into her DMs. The message got back to Luke, and he wasn't happy about it. Nevertheless, they agreed to continue in the experiment, only for one of Morag's friends to completely dismiss Luke during the homestays.
Despite differences, and a very interesting speech from Morag as she told Luke she came on the show to find a "ready made man" not a project, the couple decided to stay together at the end of the experiment.
By the time the reunion episode aired a week later, however, the pair had ended things for good, as Morag claimed that Luke didn't contact her after the experiment. The reunion got a little heated as Luke accused her of "faking" her vows for views. It's safe to say these two wouldn't be getting back together.
Dan and Matt - Split
Dan and Matt hit it off from the get-go, and only seemed to go from strength to strength throughout the experiment. The only issue they seemed to have was that Dan, 26, lived in Ireland, and Matt 39, lived in Leeds.
The pair decided to stay together at the end of the experiment and Matt eventually moved to Ireland to be with Dan.
In a statement posted to Instagram (per The Tab), the former couple said: "As you all know, we have been on an incredible adventure together the last two years and we have given ourselves every opportunity to make things work as a couple, but over the last few months we have realised that we are actually better as friends.
"Break ups are never easy, even when amicable, but we can’t thank you enough for your support and kindness following our journey together."
It continued: "There's nothing but love and good energy between us, and we feel very lucky to have found each other in our lives. Just sadly not as a couple! And although we are parting ways, we will always continue to support one another."
Marilyse and Franky - Split
Things seemed to be going well for Marilyse and Franky until the matchmakers and other couples began to comment on their relationship, with many feeling that Franky could be "controlling" and Marilyse didn't open up.
Nevertheless, Marilyse, 37, and Franky, 47, continued in the experiment, with Franky – who resides in Dubai – considering moving back to the UK to be with his wife and her two sons.
The duo chose to stay together at the final vows and attended the reunion as a couple, but sadly they've now broken up.
Franky announced the split on his Instagram, saying: "Hi Guys. Unfortunately, Marilyse and I have broken up. It’s very sad because we get along great and have gotten through a lot of obstacles but it just hasn’t worked out.
"We have been mature enough to remain friends because we still respect each other and been through so much together in such a short time.
He added: "Let me tell you that this woman has a huge heart which I adored and I will always appreciate all the support she gave me when trying to adapt to a new life.Thank you Maz you're a star! You and your family have been a very special chapter in my life. X"
In March 2021, personal trainer Marilyse opened up about their break-up in an interview, admitting there was "more friction" after filming.
"We stayed together for about three months after the experiment, so we were at the reunion together," she explained.
"And then we broke up mid-watching the programme, so it was halfway through it being aired which was probably a bit of a combination of all the messages I was getting as well.He was upset, I was upset and I think it caused more friction between us.
"I think we just spent too much time together afterwards and it just didn't work out the way it should have done. It's a shame really because we got on so well."
Despite their split, the pair are still good friends.
Amy and Josh - Split
Despite their age gap, with Amy being 34 and Josh being just 26-years-old at the time of the experiment, Amy and Josh seemed to get on really well in the beginning. There was definitely an attraction between them, however, by the time they got to their honeymoon, cracks were beginning to show, as Josh labelled her "needy" and she got upset as she felt he wasn't being open.
The couple managed to work on things, and Josh even admitted he could see himself falling in love with Amy, however, the other couples didn't think they were strong enough – something that made Amy consider leaving Married at First Sight UK 2021 on many occasions.
They managed to make it to the end of the show, and left as a married couple.
However, they revealed that they'd called things off at the reunion.
Speaking of their split, Amy said: "We haven’t spoken since the reunion show aired. It was a bit of a cold cut-off. I wouldn’t say we’ve left it on a bad note – there’s no animosity between the two of us. I’m sure if we saw each other out we would be civil and say ‘hello’. It would be nice to still have a friendship because we went through a lot together, but I guess I’m just a bit more sentimental than he is."
Amy went on to date someone new after the show, but it's not known whether they're still together. Josh appears to be single as he focuses on his fitness and rugby career.
Tayah and Adam - Still together
There was an instant connection between Tayah and Adam, and on their honeymoon, the pair told each other they're in love. Things only got better when they returned to the UK and moved into their apartment together.
It's not yet know whether the pair stayed together at the end of the experiment, with Tayah, 25, and Adam, 26, still to make their decision at the final vows, but Adam previously revealed she'd be moving into his home in Doncaster, and the pair announced they were "expecting"... a little puppy.
In a preview for the final episode it looked like Adam might be having second thoughts about his marriage with Tayah, as he told a tearful Tayah there's "something missing", however, it was good news as Adam got down on one knee and proposed to Tayah.
The marriages on Married at First Sight UK are not legally binding, and are instead "commitment ceremonies", so the thing that was missing for Adam was to make it well and truly official.
The couple are now parents to a baby girl, Beau Emily Aveling, who was born in October 2022.
Huge congratulations!
Jordon and Alexis - Split
Jordon and Alexis just couldn't see eye to eye. After he admitted she wasn't his usual type and he preferred blondes, things just went downhill. And at the first commitment ceremony, Jordon revealed he'd shared a kiss with Megan, putting an end to his and Alexis' marriage.
Alexis and Ant - Split
After flirting at the first dinner party, Alexis and Ant asked Mel Schilling if they could reenter the experiment as a couple, but things never seemed to get off the ground for them. Alexis told the girls Ant wasn't being very forthcoming, and he admitted to the boys he wasn't attracted to her in that way and just saw them as friends. The pair ended up arguing at a dinner party, and later decided to leave the experiment.
Since the show both Ant and Alexis have been focusing on their modelling careers.

Married at First Sight season 5 couples
Shareen and David were matched on the 2020 series of MAFS.
At 56 years old, David – a sales director from Solihull, David – and Shareen, 47, made history as the oldest couple to ever be matched on the show.
The pair seemed to have a lot in common in the beginning, but things quickly changed on their honeymoon. Shareen wasn't happy with his tattoos and survival kit containing massage oil, burning scents and 30 condoms.
Fans struggled to survive the shambles between David and Shareen, with many taking to social media to voice their concerns.
It will probably come as no surprise to fans then that the pair are no longer together.
Michelle and Owen – Still married
Primary school teacher Michelle, 25, and IT manager Owen Jenkins, 31, seemingly hit it off from the get go.
She instantly felt "calmer" when she saw him and he was definitely attracted to her. However, the pair soon realised they disagreed on a lot of things when they moved in together at Owen’s parents’ house in Sheffield.
One year since the show, and Michelle and Owen are still together.
They have a joint Instagram account where they share loved up photos. In May 2023, the couple announced they were expecting their first child together.
Married at First Sight season 4 couples
Steph and Jonathan – Split
Steph and Jonathan were the first couple to be matched on series 4 of the dating show, but unfortunately their marriage wasn't a match made in heaven.
From their honeymoon, it looked like things were off between them and the couple decided to call it quits at the final decision.
Speaking about their split, Steph said: "No regrets, weirdly. It’s a shame it didn’t work. I don’t think finding a husband is a thing that needs to happen.”
Verity and Jack – Split
Things looked promising for Verity and Jack. However, Jack later confirmed onscreen that their paring was over, because of "a missing jigsaw puzzle".
He said: "The last time I saw Verity was two weeks ago where I decided that we left it there and go our separate ways.
"It was hard making that decision and seeing someone get hurt. She is such an amazing girl, but I didn't have that connection, that missing jigsaw puzzle, unfortunately we didn’t have that."
Speaking about their break up, a tearful Verity said: "I really tried and I thought we were in it together, and were both gonna work at it."
Married at First Sight season 3 couples
Harriet and Richard – Split
When it came to science, Harriet and Richard seemed like the perfect match on paper. But sadly, it just wasn't meant to be.
In the series finale, they filed for divorce after sleeping in separate bedrooms just a week into living together.
Speaking to the experts after making the decision to split, Harriet said: "Obviously I didn't want, expect it to end in divorce so I think I definitely leave with a heavy heart."
The feelings weren't mutual though, as police officer Richard, 28, admitted he would have liked to give it longer.
"It feels so rubbish to kind of not make your wife feel that way. I think deflated just hits the nail on the head," he said.
Stephanie and Ben – Split
Their chemistry was instant, with both feeling as though they'd met their perfect match, but the cracks started to show when they moved in together.
Ben got cold feet and ran off to Portugal. They managed to patch things up when millionaire Ben whisked Steph away to one of his apartments in Cyprus.
However, one week after the show, Ben revealed he'd left her. He later went into the Celebrity Big Brother home and revealed that he was having a baby with his mystery girlfriend.
Married at First Sight season 2 couples
Lucie and Steve – Divorced
Lucie and Steve split after six weeks together, but have remained friends since the experiment.
Melissa and Clark – Divorced
Things looked strong for Melissa and Clark. The duo went through with their wedding and even moved in together at Melissa's London home. However, they didn't last and split after just five months.
Sara and Adam – Split
It looked like it was completely over for Sara and Adam after the pair had a huge fight on camera as Adam got drunk on their honeymoon. Nevertheless, they moved in together.
Twelve months later, however, the broke up due to lack of chemistry.
Caroline and Adam – Split
Caroline and Adam made some steps in their relationship, moving in together and even getting a pet rabbit.
However, they split after a year and Caroline has since found love with a new man.
Married at First Sight season 1 couples
Emma and James – Split
They were the first ever couple to walk down the aisle on the show, however, things just didn't last for Emma and James.
The pair ended their marriage on the show 34 weeks after the wedding, admitting they weren't sexually attracted to each other.
Sam and Jack – Never married
Sam and Jack didn't even go through with their wedding. Sam's family pressured her to back out and the pair ended up dating away from the show. However, it just wasn't meant to be and they split within four months.
Married at First Sight UK is available to stream on Channel 4.
